All campus tours and information sessions begin at the Stephen Robert '62 Campus Center located at 75 Waterman Street, Providence, Rhode Island 02912.

Led by a Brown student, the campus tour gives prospective students the opportunity to see campus first-hand and to learn about Brown's history, student life, residential life, dining, and campus safety. Campus tours last approximately 60 minutes. Register here.

The physical sciences tour is designed to give prospective students a glimpse of what it is like to study Computer Science, Chemistry, Physics, Engineering, Math, Applied Math, and Earth, Environmental, and Planetary Sciences at Brown. The physical sciences tour does not cover life sciences such as Biology or Neuroscience. The tour visits classrooms and lab spaces and lasts approximately 80 minutes.

Prospective students attending this tour are limited to one guest per student. Also, children under the age of 12 may not participate in the tour. Tours typically take place at 12:10 p.m. and 3:10 p.m. most weekdays.

Registration is required for the physical sciences tour. Lab safety practices limit the amount of visitors to our laboratory spaces.

Engineering specific tours are designed to give prospective students an overview of what it is like to study Engineering at Brown University. Your tour of the School of Engineering will be led by current Engineering students and will visit classrooms and lab spaces. The Engineering tour lasts approximately 30 minutes.

Engineering tours are not offered in June, July, and August.

The information session gives prospective students the opportunity to hear from current students and admission officers about the admission process, financial aid, academics and the open curriculum. In addition you will learn about our advising programs, research, study abroad, our special admission programs, and more. Register here.

The Experience Brown program aims to provide prospective students with the opportunity to get a sense of what it is like to be a student at Brown University by allowing them structured access to classes and one-on-one, non-evaluative contact with a current student. All hosts are members of the Bruin Club and are volunteers.

The program matches prospective students with current students who share their academic or extracurricular interests and allows prospective students to attend a class and eat lunch in a dining hall with their host.

The Experience Brown program does not include a campus tour or information session, but is in close communication with the coordinators for both of these programs so as to ensure ample opportunity to attend all of the programming the Bruin Club offers daily.

The Experience Brown schedule is organized around the university's class framework. Listed below are typical schedules for each of the time slots offered on each day of the week. Experience Brown participants should arrive at the Stephen Roberts '62 Campus Center to check in at their designated pick-up time. The Experience Brown program is available mid-February through March 31 and mid-September through early December.

Registration & Cancellation
Registration is required for the Experience Brown program. Spots are extremely limited, so you are encouraged to sign up early. Only students who have registered in advance of their visit may participate in Experience Brown. Students visiting with siblings or friends must each register separately for Experience Brown if they wish to also participate in the program. Please note, registration closes 3 days prior to each event. The Experience Brown program is available mid-February through March 31 and mid-September through early December.

We offer the opportunity for prospective students to maximize their visit experience by offering select class visits. The class schedule for spring semester is available here.

Class visits are not offered in May, June, July, and August.

Brown has a busy campus and many visitors. Accordingly, groups larger than 10 people are required to contact us at least three weeks in advance to schedule a visit. Approval is not guaranteed; however, more advanced notice may increase the likelihood of accommodation. We cannot always guarantee a specific tour slot and appreciate your flexibility with our published tour and information session schedules. Contact us here.
